By using a secure browser we are able to encrypt or scramble the access codes in computer programs to prevent entry into the computer. To ensure a secure banking session, either "https" should appear on the URL instead of "http" or a secure symbol (such as a key or closed padlock) should appear on the lower part of the screen on the status bar.

This website also uses a router and firewall to regulate the inflow and outflow of server traffic. This firewall will obstruct access to an area by blocking any unauthorized traffic.

You can also ensure the security of your information by following these steps:

• Never reveal your Login Name and Password to anyone.
• Change your password frequently using the Change Password function.
• Always log off before leaving your computer.
• Always log off of this site before accessing other Web sites.
• If you cannot close the browser after your PC Banking session, be sure to delete the temporary files stored by the browser on your hard drive.
• Always report known instances of unauthorized account access when you feel your privacy or security has been violated.
• Do not share your PINs, passwords, etc. with anyone. Remember, a bank representative will never ask you for your PIN.
• Do not open emails from sources that you do not know.
• Purchase and install anti-virus protection software on your computer.
• Install and periodically run an anti-spyware program.
